RHEL 9 – LVM – Devices file sys_wwid nvme. PVID last seen on not found.

I expanded the disk of a RHEL 9 (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9) compatible server (Rocky Linux 9.1) that I use for testing/development on a VMware workstation. I noticed that when I tried to display LVM (Logical Volume Management) PV (Physical Volume) even though it booted up the server without any problems, it gave an error.

When everything is going well, you may encounter a terrible error such as the loss of PVs. Therefore, make sure to take a backup before operating on the disk in a production environment.

Disk and partition structure.
Rocky Linux 9.1 information.
Server is working but PVs are not around.

To fix the problem, edit the lvm.conf file with the command below.

vi /etc/lvm/lvm.conf
Activate by removing the tag in front of the option than save and exit.
Happy ending 🙂
